Without an account
You can use cutlistlab fully without an account. Your projects and offcut stock are then kept only locally in your own browser (on your device). We do not receive that data and do not store it on our server.
With an account (optional)
If you create an account, we store on our server (in the Netherlands, with our hosting partner) only what is needed to log in and sync your work across devices:
- your email address;
- your password, stored encrypted only (a hash, never readable);
- your own projects and offcut stock (the cutting data you enter yourself).
We use this data only to make the tool work. We sell nothing and share nothing with third parties for advertising.
Statistics
We measure how the site is used in a privacy-friendly way: how many people visit, which pages they view, how they navigate, and which actions they take in the tool (such as calculating or picking a material). This is anonymised and aggregated, without tracking cookies and without keeping your raw IP address. Visitors are counted with a daily-rotating, non-identifiable code. To improve the tool, we sometimes keep a snapshot of the project you enter (such as the dimensions and materials), so we understand what designs people make; this too is anonymous and cannot be linked to you. If you click an external link (for example to a hardware store), we only count the destination domain, without following you. We do not use Google Analytics or similar external trackers.
Cookies
Without signing in, we place no cookies that track you. If you sign in, we set one functional session cookie so you stay logged in. It is technically necessary and is not used for advertising.
Retention
We keep account data and projects for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, they are deleted immediately and permanently.
Your rights
You can view, change and delete your data. In the tool you can use Sign in → Delete account and data to erase your account and all related data at once. Your projects on your own device stay stored locally until you delete them there yourself. Prefer email? Send a message to info@cutlistlab.com.
Security
The connection runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted (hashed) only, and communication with the database uses secure, prepared queries.

We may update this statement as the tool changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
