Each cubby is just wide enough for a stack of LPs on their side. Vertical dividers at short spacing keep the records from toppling or sagging.

Four columns, each split into two cubbies: eight cubbies at a fixed, short size. Vinyl wants small cubbies, so do not widen them too much.
